HOW TO WEAR BIG FASHION STATEMENT EARRINGS

I was never brave to wear anything larger than my hoop earrings near my face. Also not all the earrings are exactly super comfortable as some of them really pulling your ears down and you feel like you’ve got little weights attached to your skin, fearing when you take them off you pull your skin with them or they stretched overnight leaving you with a different shape of ears you had.
I have noticed them 2 years ago when shopping for my trip to Thailand. I’ve noticed few basic shapes which I have started with, as i must admit i wasnt very brave at the beginning. My first earrings that I’ve tried on were beautiful turquise blue, dangly oval shape which I wore for my Egypt trip. It seems like I got a lot of attention having them on my ears, but I was happy with how the pictures came out. I looked funky and different to what I usually wear, it was a bit of a shock to start with bright blue but overall it was a good choice.
Bigger and brighter you go, you should tone down on your clothes. There is that simple rule that if you really big and bold on top you should tone the rest of your outfit otherwise you will look like Christmas tree and not a very tasteful Christmas tree.
I love patterns and colours, that’s doesn’t mean I can’t wear that alongside with the fashion earrings. The best thing is to always try match the colour with the outfit, size matters too, as if you have an elegant crystal looking earrings don’t go for a t-shirt and shorts, wear something as elegant as the earrings you have on, and again that doesn’t mean you have to wear evening dress, I have gone for an elegant white blouse with my favourite frills that are as delicate as the earrings I’ve had on. Again with the red stripy dress, I have gone for a light, looking a bit like raffia earrings, which matched the style of the setting (garden) but also bring out the stripes from the dress and black frame of sunglasses.
Sometimes the earrings do not match the outfit but they can bring out the best of that outfit. The pictures I have taken on my last trip to Andalucia, shows how that works with a green pattern dress. There is no blue connection but the earrings just give some life to the dress I was wearing and there is no better mix than turquoise blue and crisp white background.
Earrings are amazing addition to any outfit, the same with bags, hats or any other accessories, you can have a very simple dress on, that nobody will notice, and put that earrings on, suddenly becoming visible in the crowd of people. I absolutely had fallen in love in my earrings because they bring up my personality and style and that is reflected on the pictures I have taken in the past.

HOW TO LOOK GOOD OUTSIDE STARTING FROM WITHIN.

“If you have good thoughts they will shine out of your face like sunbeams and you will always look lovely”

How do you lead happy, healthy and balanced life?
There is only so much we can do to make ourselves beautiful. We can put nice outfit on and nice make up on and new shoes. What if you had a bad day and you going on a date, yes you can smile and pretend you have a good time, but no clothes or make up are going to cover it up. And if you sitting down in front of a person intelligent enough to notice your face expressions, they will almost always likely to see or feel your sadness.
Life is not only about what you do for a living or what part of the world you live in. Life is a balance, a mix of different things that we should be able to pursue to seek the happiness. I always thought that if I work hard, have a full time job I will save enough money to travel or buy things. Lie. I was told that you have to work and pay your bills that’s what the life is about. That’s what everybody does. Lie. I was told that I must not complaint raising my kid alone while in a relationship because someone has to work and earn. Lie. I was laughed at when telling people my dreams of writing a book, working as journalism, having it all.
When I was 12 I knew I will become a journalism I loved writing and that’s all I ever knew. The time progress and my dreams fade away, I turned up 18 and left home, I knew I had to work in order to keep myself alive. I forgot about all my dreams and dream job. None of this matter anymore. I met people who told me you need a degree and you don’t have one. I met people who’s life was a spinning wheel 24/7 because life in London is expensive. I was doing the same and forgot all about the things I wanted to do.
Thankfully Our priorities change when we grow up, when things happen to us, when we become homeless, when we have our hearts broken, when we have not enough to eat, when we don’t have a support of our family members, when we realise all the friends suddenly gone, when we become parents, when we go through health issues, when we discover our true passion…
You get one life and one life only. I always thought what an amazing world what would be if everyone do what they love for living. I believe every single person has talent, has something he is good at. If you did that thing for a living, you would feel happy, fulfilled, you would get paid, and you could pursued other things at the same time, because when you happy, the rest just seems to fall into place easier and you discover there is more to life and more things that you potentially good at.
What an amazing world that would be…
Life is what we create, but what happens to us doesn’t depends on so much what we do, but how we react to things. I should have known to close my eyes and ears when people laughed, when I was told that’s impossible, when all the negativism of others was pouring into my life. I should have known that my reaction to all that, is creating my reality, I should have known that I would be so much ahead of others if I just focus for one minute and perhaps let those people go off my life. I should have known that life is not about having as many friends as possible, but having one that never says no when you want to come over.
I should have known…
Life is more than just work.
I don’t know how many people hate their job, but I can imagine a lot.
Work should not have a control over us, the thought of having to pay bills, mortgage should not be the first thing that comes to our mind when think work. But it doesn’t matter anyway if it does because there should be much more to it than that.
The day I have taken my first holidays, I discovered that I don’t want to go back, and that having that time off should really be much longer what I initially booked for. I think we went for 2 weeks then.
I came home and I couldn’t cope with the reality because for the first time in my life I felt alive. Since then I never looked back and travelling became my pass to freedom. I not only discovered my passion but also became a different person and looked at life from a different perspective. Perspective that I had when I was younger. I felt like my dream, the one that everyone were calling impossible, came true.
You get one life, so use it
Having people to understand why I love it so much is pretty hard. I have surrounded myself with those who I can share my stories with, not those who don’t want listen where I’ve been.
I can count on one hand how many friends I have, but I realised this is all I need. People who make time for you no matter what’s the time of the day is, that’s what matters, not the number.
Life is a balance of things. yes, work, but do not let work to take control of your life, find things that you enjoy, and do it, there always be a time and opportunity , if you carry on and don’t stop. Don’t do things you don’t wanna do, when something is not working go and find a different job, change a circle of friends, step away from those who don’t bring anything into your life, have time for yourself every single day. When you suddenly realise what’s important and make you happy, prioritise that over everything else.
For me having a daughter and celebrating her birthday every year became a moment of greatness. So every year for her birthday we go on a trip together. Not because of her birthday and she deserves a treat, but because having her changed not only my life but also me as a person, she is the one who changed course of my life, she is the one that always been there for me, she is the one that told me everything is gonna be ok,she was 3 years old when she said that, how could she know, but her words were more powerful that the reality of things ! she is the one who loves me for who I am, so every year we celebrate that , I celebrate her…she gave me more than I could ever imagined.
If I had to choose between work and going on that trip together, I would be able to drop my job at instant without a second thought.
That’s called priorities…
Have priorities in life, understand what’s important for yourself, understand that if right now everything else disappear, will that thing or that person, still going to be number one priority.
Nobody had to understand that, except you, nobody has to understand why would you drop you job to be with you daughter, you don’t explain to anyone what travelling means to you , they won’t understand anyway (unless they travel themselves), people who work full time because someone told them they have to get degree husband and house by the time they reach 25, won’t understand why you don’t want to work full time, because your priority is to have time for things you enjoy. Nobody understands that you need that time for yourself to listen to music, to write, to take a trip to have a well-balanced happy life
Everyone’s perception of balanced life is different
That’s why nobody has to understand yours
And that’s ok
And not everyone understands that we create our life with thoughts and actions
And that’s ok too
Everyone life’s is different, and nobody’s opinion or different perspective should have any effect on what you want to do, pursue and enjoy. They won’t understand anyway…
(UNLESS THEY TRIED IT FOR THEMSELVES)

Going back to the beginning.
Find time to listen to that song that makes you happy
Find time to have that coffee with your friend every week
Find time to meditate for a couple of minutes every day
Find time to give a hug and kiss to your loved ones
Find time to cook and feel creative of making something new
Find time to have time for yourself
Find time to take time off, go and explore and experience thats what makes you a person , not how much you earned this month
Life should be a mix of things we enjoy…
LIVE YOUR LIFE, DONT LET LIFE LIVE YOU

Actions lead to thoughts, thoughts leads to how we feel from the inside and look on the outside.
“If you have good thoughts they will shine out of your face like sunbeams and you will always look lovely”

How to plan a wardrobe for your holidays so you can look great for every occasion and bring lots of beautiful pictures back with you.

I travel at least 3 times a year to a beautiful holiday spots. For every journey I buy a few new pieces and combine them with the old one saving money, still looking good and can promise nobody even notices. Before I hit the shop and I know my holiday destination I think of clothes I’m going to need for a particular trip. HERE ARE SOME EXAMPLES of how I do that.
I have recently been on yoga retreat in a beautiful Andalucia.
How to pack for this kind of holidays
1. Before even going further with your wardrobe selection, check the weather, climate, surroundings, landscapes. You can never be sure hundred percent where you going to. The only thing you probably certain of will be your hotel you staying at. With the weather you can’t be sure either but is good to know what the average temperatures are and what sort of climate you mostly like to experience while you there. The only reason I am saying this is because temperature is one thing and climate is another thing. 35 degrees in Mexico with a tropical climate is not the same as 35 degrees in Spain in a dry climate. I ended up spending my Mexico holidays sweating like a pig in my dresses and getting cold in the evenings on a yoga retreat only because I thought with 30 degrees during the day, I will be all right without any cover up.
2. Everyone of us want to take amazing pictures when away If you like to take a unique pictures, check the places you gonna visit while you there. I have been travelling for the past 10 years. The first thing I always do before heading to the airport is to search the internet for places of interest. There is usually 2-3 places I really want to see, I never travel blind or choose the destination of my holidays only because. I go to certain places because a)I always wanted to go there b)my friends been there and recommend it and I never thought of going there but now upon checking I really love it c)I can take amazing pictures because of the beautiful surroundings, landscape, breathtaking views
3. Once you decide what places you going visit , you now should be able to know what sort of clothes you are going to need, including the style and colours
4. For my yoga holidays the plan was as follow:
Spain
35 degrees max
Villas on the top of the hill, surrounded with no shops, bars or places of interest for that matter
A week stay
2 yoga classes a day spread across 5 days, including a day off

I ended up with buying lots of different yoga outfits, because I had a vision I am going to sweat a lot, and obviously you need a fresh set for every day, I bought 3 different bras, few t-shirts and leggings, all that I can mix and match together.

I knew my day off will be the opportunity to go out, visit some new place and take amazing pictures. The place I had in mind was a little town called Comares, on the outskirts of Malaga, with a breathtaking background of little white houses. I have chosen a red dress as in my opinion that look good with white background , accompanying with a sunhat and big bold earrings which are so fashion this year. In fact I got a few different pairs because I have just fallen in love with them.
I have also taken another dress which I really love and I knew I have to find a place to take a picture wearing it.
I have taken 2 more dresses simply because I loved them and hoped will have opportunity to wear them

Shoes; I have taken one pair of trainers, as not so much for yoga but for walks up and down the hill every morning to do our practise as well, taking long walk up and down the village with my friends which we randomly did after breakfast or dinner. Flip flops of course, for the around swimming pool purpose , a pair or two of nice sandals that go with the dresses I have chosen, in terms of the space and practicality, I have choosen one that are very flat and take little or none space in my luggage, as well as one pair of high heel wedges which are my all time favourite. I wasn’t sure I was going to wear them and yes, I ended up not wearing them, but still good to have one.

Going for a week and taking few yoga outfits, 4 pair of shoes, 2 dresses/1 jumpsuit for dinner time, 3 dresses for pictures, one set of just tshirt and shorts if it happens we go on a longer trip that includes lots of walking. Having lots of sporty yoga outfits I could use them too so I didn’t go super crazy taking more sporty clothing. Every new place I go I always buy a new tshirt with a meaningful, unique slogan, like “positive vibes” and my times ultimate tote zara bag with” live your life to the fullest.”
I give each of my holidays a new meaning, a new purpose and new memory which yes will be surrounded by the slogan from my t-shirt, not literally but something to remember when you back home and flip through the pictures.
The only thing I didn’t think of is that evenings and morning will happen to be quite cold and cheeled, and I didn’t take any long sleeve garments with me, I was fine, I mean I used the yoga blanket for the morning practice whenever my body was shivering but I learned my lesson, always and always take a jumper, cardigan, long sleeve top, even if you going to a very hot place

Another trip which I have taken recently was Egypt in April 2018. Amazing holidays, incredible cheap and rewarding,we had a time of our lifes over there and always will remember that time as if my dream finally came true to see the pyramids.
I have gathered an enormous collection of clothing for that trip, it happened to be in april and there was a lot of beautiful clothes in the shop which I couldn’t resist. I suppose to take half of them and half leave at home for another trip but I ended up taking most of them with me hoping to find enough places and backgrounds for all of them.
Egypt was hot at that time, I knew I will be going to see the pyramids, I always associated Egypt with colours of a desert, I knew I would like to wear whites, cream, beige, brownish, this sort of colours, some of my outfits did represent that but some of them I’ve just taken because I really liked them, I ended up wearing a jeans and colourful tshirt when visiting the pyramids, never thought that would look good but actually it did, because if I wore browns and beiges I would just fade and disappear into the background which was the same colour. My outfit popped out on the picture and I was very happy with the end results. I have also chosen a beautiful white dress with small embroidery on the shoulders which was perfect for the purpose of the picture taken.
When you go on holidays always think about the background. Every country I’ve been to , many of them has their own colours , has their own background, search the internet, type Egypt if you go to Egypt, check it out what colour is overtaking most of the pictures, check places you want to see and imagine yourself there, imagine how the picture would look like if you were that particular outfit
Some examples here:
Egypt – places of interest; pyramids, desert, camels, diving, colours that will look good with brown, beige, yellowish: white dress, greens, browns, vivid colours ect.
Spain- places of interest; Comares, villa, pool, mountain/lake view, swimming pool; clothes: red dress for comares, red swimming costume for the pool, lots of yoga outfits with colourful, funky patters, few types of dresses I like
My next trip which im already planning is Bali in December. I already know what I would like to see which includes few days of yoga retreat, jungle swings, infinity pool, waterfalls, rice terraces. The colours of Bali are beautiful deep bottle green with green waters of infinity pool and jungle surroundings.
I am planning to take lots of red colours with me but also whites and blacks which will look great if I happen to take a picture when visiting rice fields.

5. Always look good no matter what other people think and say to you. You can look awesome and be awesome, you can wear red lipstick and still get in a zone , a deep state of meditation. Clothes has nothing to do with what you do as long as you doing properly and with genuine passion and interest.

HOW TO SHOP SMART, EFFICIENT, AND HAVE FUN

For me shopping has always been a frustrating experience. Its ironic because I work in fashion and I am in the shops most of the days , but I hate shopping and wandering in the shops for hours. What do I do then to make this experience as painful as possible:-)

– Go online before hitting the shops.and make a plan of what you need

-Take pictures to keep the focus on what you need and want,

-Shop in one , maximum 2 places,

-Go in ,pick up the pieces ,try on,  get out

-Sleep on it,

-Return what ‘s not working the next day.

1. I usually shop in one brand. That safes time and money. Going to the mall and entering every single shop I pass by means I live every shop with a bunch of clothes I don’t need. I come home and realise everything is similar, everything has the same shape or colour or I got 5 pair of trousers, but I first started as I was looking for a dress.

Hitting every shop can be not only exhausting but can leave you with empty wallet very very fast. For past few years  I have developed a strategy when going shopping and it works for me. It also works when I get to shop for my clients.

Choose maximum 2 high street brands you really like and concentrate on them. It doesn’t mean you limit yourself because you shop only in one place. But when you do that you can leave the place with 3 pieces you really need. Not with 10 pieces you really wanted. Wanting and needing is 2 different  things and that’s why most people have clothes in their wardrobe they’ve never even worn and they don’t even know they exist. They buy with spur of a moment, sometimes wasting hundreds of pounds worth of goods they will never put on because they won’t have opportunity.

Always shop for an occasion rather just for a sake of it. when you decide why you need a new dress, scarf, shoes it makes sense to buy and easier to find what you looking for.

Ive got one favourite shop I have been shopping for past 10 years, its big enough to give me different options. It’s divided into different collections, which means I can choose if I want something more expensive or something more basic or something more hippy and trendy.

There is another shop I use, where I buy things what first shop doesn’t have;that includes my underwear, yoga clothes and sometimes basic tshirts or jeans which seems to fit me better.

The third and last one is the home décor shop. I have decorated my house throughout the past couple of years starting from my kids bedroom moving onto my bedroom , kitchen hall and living room. I use ikea for furnitres which is convenient and the high street brands for the finish off and decorative side of it.

Having one shop for clothes/shoes/accessories , second as a back up and underwear and third for home décor, means you really don’t need to go anywhere else.

  1. Make a plan of what you need. They say never go hungry grocery shopping , the same with clothes. Don’t buy what you already have. Think of why you need clothes, never go shopping for a sake of buying anything. You’v got to a have a a reason for it.

Before hitting the shops. Take a pictures of things you like, go on the website of your favourite shop. Take 1-2 pictures of every garment, meaning a dress, tshirt, trousers, jeans, jacker skirt, knitwear ect

Sleep on it,

Flip through the pictures again the next morning, see if yous till like what you have chose the previous day. I usually say yes to all of them.

Go shopping and pick up the garments you have chosen.

Try them in the fitting room, there always be at least one piece that wont fit you as some clothes simply look better on the hanger that your body.

Go home, try it again, sleep on it,think of an occasion you might wear them for.

Return the rest you don’t need / don’t like/ don’t fit

This is a simple trick, because at the end of the day, you will end up with half amount of clothes you picked up at the very beginning,

There is no such a thing like going shopping but you don’t know what you looking for, wandering in between of isles for couple of hours. always make a list of things you need, list of places you gonna visit or events, occasions you have planned for upcoming weeks, take pictures, so you don’t get overhelmed when you enter the shop, and your focus will be lost forever. Don’t wander the shops for hours, looking for a piece of clothing that don’t even exist in your mind. Know what you want, know what you came here for, know your budget so you don’t leave with empty wallet, with no money left to even go for lunch. Shops can get busy, hot owerhelming, you might get hungry and frustrated in the meantime , leading to buying clothes you not sure about, just for a sake of it.

Go home, try it on in your own time, ask people what they think, however I wouldn’t advise to always do that, as at the end of the day is what you like and feel comfortable with and other peoples opinions might be based on their own preferences rather than what fits your figure and personality.

Most of the time, I know what I like when I see something in the shop, or when the box arrive to my home address, but not everyone like that. You might not be hundred percent sure if you like that’ skirt or not or if it fits your figure or not.

Sometimes taking selfie helps with the decision, ask a third party opinion if you really have to and have fun with it.
