Working as a blogger and stylist it’s a full time job even if you’re on holidays.
That’s why I do a lot of planning before I even head to the airport.
If you a blogger and you are going to a fabulous spot of the world where you know you will have lots of opportunities for a great pictures, and you are going for limited amount of time, you have to be very well organised so when you get there your day can be filled with a lot of pictures with great outfits taken in the best possible spots possible.
You want to enjoy your time a well so you have to be as efficient as possible in your planning so you will work hard during the day but will have the afternoon or evening off for yourself as a reward.
My last trip of the year has been my dream for so long, no wonder is becoming a reality, the power of positive thinking is so strong that if you have something in your mind, I bet will come true sooner or later. That’s how it was with Bali. Bali has become a very popular spot throughout the past few years. Seeing my friends going there it only made me want to go there even more. I love Indonesia so for me it’s no brainer is a perfect vacation spot. I have also started going to yoga retreats recently so I’ve had the perfect excuse to choose such a place for my holidays.
How did plan my wardrobe to bali
First search for places you want to visit. Go on google, type Bali , check out the pictures , check out the reviews on trip advisor, read a few articles on the internet about places worth to see. My yoga retreat is around ubud area so I have decided to narrow my search down to this area. Take a pictures, store it on your computer or transfer to a Microsoft, print it out and make a small mood board.
Taking pictures and knowing where im heading giving me instant ideas what im going to wear. I have decided to narrow it down to 3 main attractions I want to take. That includes the jungle swings, the rice terraces and the waterfalls.
If you still not sure what you gonna wear. Go back to google search and type for example bali jungle swings and see what comes up. There will be for sure some pictures of people/models posing in these particular areas. Perhaps that will give you some ideas.
You have done the research, you have chosen the outfits, you know exactly where you going, what you gona wear, how you gonna pose, and you think you have all sorted out. Think again.
You have to be prepared for every possibility. That means weather. I was surprised to find that bali even though is still every warm in December (25-27 degrees ) , it’s a very much rainy season. Imagine you do your make up, spend time on making those perfect curls,
You go out and its pouring , you skip the day because of that? You cant , you have 3 days left of exploring and you can’t afford to stay in the hotel room. Rain usually comes and goes. Take the fancy umbrella with you and some cool raincoat which will look great on the picture. , throw all your fancy accessories in the bagpack , put your sneakers and raincoat on and don’t worry about the rain, by the time you get to your fabulous spot, the sun will shine and the rainbow will come out
Keep your hair perhaps in a simplest as possible style, so you can be sure they will always look good and you also have few options there.
If you want you hair to look different on eveyr picture. Think of 3 different styles which you can change your hair into. That whay you har to plan your day. perhaps start off with your hair
Then tight at the back, then make a hair bun. That will they will look great throughout the day, if you start off with the bun and let them go at the end they will get the curles you don’t want to see, if you curly your hair at the beginning they will probably get straight by the ned of the day, I do not use and hair sprays as they don’t stay on my hair and they only make my hair tangled and there is not much I can do with my tangled hair than wash them
Bali is a small place, one day is enough to get on the scooter and drive around the island. So if you to see 3-5 attractions and you want to look different on every picture , you have to think practical and plan your day ahead. If I see all my 3 attractions in one day this is how I plan it. If I want to see rice fields, swing and waterfall where do I head first. I will start off with the swing wearing my long dress, then I can quickly change to my other outfit and pose on the rice fields background, change my hair as well and I finish off in the waterfalls as that where I ‘gonna get in the water and it will all wash off in a second. If you start off with the waterfall you would have to go back to the hotel and start all over again with your hair and make up.you don’t want that, you want to keep going so
Plan ahead
Join to facebook groups . I was lucky to find out about the ubud community group on facebook which I joined immediately. I have asked a few questions about spending new years eve in ubud and made contact with people who lives there. I met a guy who does tours around bali and I have decided to go on a tour with him. Since I love taking pictures , I would really love to see the best of bali, meaning not only areas full of tourists, but hidden gems where most people do not know about.
I have enjoyed my time in Bali, in fact I would consider these vacation the best ever for many reasons. I’ve taken beautiful pictures, met so many wonderful genuine, humble and kind people, have visited places where you 100 percent surrounded by nature and managed to get into all my planned outfits. It has been great all the way.
